As an accredited public relations pro, Tracy is certified as a competent professional who demonstrates a mastery of strategic communication practice and reflects the highest ethical standards. To achieve accreditation, PR practitioners must have a proven record of success, be reviewed by a panel of peers, and be educated and assessed in more than 60 key areas of practice. This includes counsel to leadership, problem-solving, research, strategic planning, campaign development, writing, relationship building, reputation management, media relations, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and crisis communication.

Environmental Champion

The founder of the nonprofit Save Ohio Bees™ and a noted conservation educator, Tracy launched Save Ohio Bees after learning that 1 in 4 native bee species are facing extinction. After researching pollinator habitat resources, she saw the need a regional online resource hub for Ohioans. The Save Ohio Bees website provides free access to a curated library of resources, guides, DIY projects, habitat programs, nurseries, seed providers, and apps, as well as educational videos, news, and events.

Tracy holds an M.S. in Environmental Studies, an advanced certification in Ecotherapy, and certification as an Ohio naturalist (OCVN). Her presentations have been featured by the Wilderness Center, Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Chef’s Garden, Climate and Justice Teach-in, Buckeye Valley High School, and more.

“Tracy has leveraged her expertise to engage community members, conservation organizations, and beneficiary partners,” said Anne Young, MA, Save Ohio Bees board member. “Many environmental nonprofits struggle to interpret scientific findings in a relatable way. Tracy has the ability to build coalition and inspire collective action on behalf of native bees and other pollinators, and her contributions to Ohio have been invaluable.”

Devoted Single Mother

Of all her accomplishments, Tracy is most proud to be a mother to her daughter, Sharon. As a single working mother, Tracy has been a mom, mentor, guide, teacher, homemaker, DIY enthusiast, school volunteer, landscaper, hostess, and the sole provider for the family since Sharon’s birth. She attributes such an accomplishment to God’s grace, audacious hope, and stubborn perseverance.

Beyond her warm heart and contagious smile, Sharon connects with others as an award-winning fine artist and vocalist, and a magna cum laude graduate of the Columbus College of Art & Design. She is pictured here with her mom in May 2024.

This is Sharon’s favorite tribute song to her mom.
